The color masterbatch has the following advantages: in order to make the pigment have better dispersibility in the product, the pigment needs to be refined in the production process to improve the dispersibility and coloring power of the pigment. The carrier of the special color masterbatch is the same as the plastic variety of the product, and has good compatibility and heating fusibility. Then the pigment particles can be well dispersed in the plastic products. For color masterbatch, attention must be paid to the matching relationship between color masterbatch and plastic raw materials and additives.
1. The pigment cannot react with resin and various additives. Strong solvent resistance, good heat resistance and small migration. In other words, the master batch cannot participate in various chemical reactions. For example, carbon black can control the curing reaction of polyester plastics, so carbon black materials cannot be added to polyester. With high concentration, carbon black not only has excellent coloring power and hiding power, but also can maintain the mechanical properties of basic plastics. For regenerated resins of different quality, the amount of color masterbatch is 10-15% less than that of existing products, and the coloring effect is the same. In order to maintain the mechanical properties of basic plastics, such as the tensile strength of plastic products and high molding temperature, they should not decompose and discolor at the molding heating temperature. In general, inorganic pigments have good heat resistance, while organic pigments and dyes have poor heat resistance, which should be given enough attention when selecting color materials.
2. The pigment has good dispersion and coloring stress. If the pigment distribution is uneven, the appearance performance of the product will be affected; If the quality of pigment is poor, the amount of pigment and material cost will increase. The dispersivity and tinting power of the same pigment in different resins are different, which should be paid attention to when selecting pigments. The particle size of pigment is also related to its dispersibility. The smaller the particle size of the pigment, the better the dispersion and the stronger the coloring power.
3. Understand other characteristics of color, such as plastic products for food and children's toys. It is required that the color is harmless; Plastic products for electrical appliances shall be of good electrical insulation color; Outdoor plastic products shall be selected with good weather resistance and aging resistance.
